Kick off the conference with opening statements by the conference directors and Dean of Student Life Jamele Adams and hear from our keynote speaker, Roy DeBerry '70.
Session I: Relearning Diversity 11:50 am - 12:40 pm
We are all beginners and experts when it comes to diversity and inclusion. The objectives of this first session are twofold: to expose participants to aspects of diversity and inclusion that are commonly overlooked, and to give participants concepts and vocabulary that they can use to frame conversations later in the conference.
Reverse Networking Lunch 12:50 - 2:00 pm
Enjoy a special catered lunch and take advantage of the time to speak to outside sponsors, staff and faculty, and alumni.
Session II: Healing and Empowerment 2:10 - 3:00 pm
The purpose of this session is to empower conference participants to become agents of change, either by teaching participants practical skills, or by providing opportunities for self-affirming expression.
Session III: Coming Together to Affect Change 3:10 - 4:00 pm
Let us bring together the diverse viewpoints this conference has gathered throughout the day to exchange ideas, share experiences, and propose solutions to shared problems.

Unapologetically Black Levin Ballroom, 7:00 - 8:30 pm
Unapologetically Black is a culture show intended to celebrate, acknowledge, and uplift the existence of Black lives and culture on Brandeis’ campus, in the United States and the world. It is the CAST Capstone project of the Producer/Creator/Director of the show, Ashley Simmons '17. The show will consist of a Brandeis TOXIC performance (majorette dance group), Brandeis PLATINUM performance (Step Team), three short scenes (written by Ashley Simmons '17) revolving around blackness. The show will also include a spoken word performer, Jazz performance, fashion/hair show, and conclude with soul food being served to attendees. It will be followed by the Annual Brandeis Black Student Organization (BBSO) Semi-Formal Ball.
